Are you like me who couldn’t find the specific business I wanted to venture into many years ago? Then you need to stay till the end of this post if you want your confusion on which business to choose to be solved.
In 2006, I started my search for profitable businesses and began looking for which one to choose among the many but guess what? I became more confused, because the more l think to venture myself into any business l may think l like, at the end of the day, l will fail, I have tried both online and and offline business, from both l could not make edge out of the all at the time.
Youtube videos, podcast, blog posts, different paid and free training gave me information which gives confusion in my head and do not allow me sieve out the specific business I wanted to go into.
After many years of searching and making mistakes, error and failure I found out that there are certain things I was not doing right;
1. I DIDN’T UNDERSTAND WHAT PROFITABLE BUSINESS ENTAILED
I was thinking profitable business was just about a business that makes money whereas a profitable business is what you build using certain strategies like knowing your ideal niche, a hungry and paying audience and a value driven solution among others that time won’t be enough to explain.
I never knew that a profitable business was something you build and not something you just choose.
No matter how much money they tell you can be made from that business, if you don’t understand how to get your niche( a specific problem you solve) and how to get the right audience that will pay you for the products or services you sell then that business will never give you profit.
I learnt this in the hard way and I don’t want you to do the same thing, that is why l put up my pet to write this on my blog, in other to serve as a lesson that guide you right without wasting time before you get to the right part..
Understand that a profitable business is not just chosen but built.
If this sink into your mind then choosing a business will never be a problem for you.
2. I NEVER KNEW THAT I COULD BUILD A BUSINESS AROUND MY PASSION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR TALENTS
You know I told you I was looking for a profitable business instead of building one. After finding this out, the next problem I had was to now choose a business to build profitably but it was so hard looking for a business because I didn’t have the right knowledge on the definition of a business.
The day I discovered that a business means solving problems, it made me calm down and focused on the problems of either had passion, experience, knowledge, talents or skills to solve. Yes I understand that business is more than solving problems but that is the starting point if you must choose and build a profitable business.
The moment I found out that my passion for graphics design can be turned into a profitable business, I began equipping myself with relevant information and training tailored towards that direction.
Most people don’t have a passion problem or a skill problem rather they have ignorance problem.
What this means is that the are not informed on the right structures and strategies to use in refining their passion into a business they can build profitably.
Your passion, knowledge, experience, skills or talents can become your next profitable business if you learn the how and not just what of the business side of whatever you want to start with i.e your passion, experience,knowledge,skills or talents.
I believe you have gotten value, take time now and start looking for that business you can start around your passion, experience, skills, talents and knowledge.
